Responsible for recruiting and retaining members. Helps new members get oriented with the activities of the Chapter.

Programs
The role of this committee is to provide the local building community with opportunities to learn more about sustainable design and construction and to foster relationships between the various design disciplines. This will be accomplished by hosting events to educate the building community, by either bringing in national experts and/or finding local resources or expertise in Alabama.
We need help from our membership in focusing on topics for this region of the country. If there is a particular "green" topic or issue you would like to see discussed please send us an email and we will try to find a presentation on that topic.
Also we need affordable venues for hosting our lectures. If you know of a great venue with a capacity of 40-100 people or if your company is interested in hosting a USGBC event at their office, please let us know.
