The Atlanta Chapter follows the national organization's lead in working primarily through committees that form partnerships and strategic alliances with other regional organizations. Committees are typically led by board members and are supported by volunteers and Southface’s professional staff.

The Atlanta Regional Chapter is both a chapter member of USGBC and an affiliate of the Southface Energy Institute. As an affiliate, the Advisory Board reports directly to the Southface Energy Institute.
