About the Program
Due to a last minute change in our meeting location's availability, we have rescheduled the LEED for Schools Program for Tuesday, February 10th. We appreciate your understanding and hope that the new date works with your calendar.
The LEED for Schools Rating System recognizes the unique nature of the design and construction of K-12 schools. Based on the LEED for New Construction rating system, LEED for Schools addresses the unique concerns of a school environment, such as classroom acoustics, master planning, mold prevention and environmental site assessment.
Our children and the education community play such a vital role in both our carbon footprint and in our future, understanding and participating in LEED for Schools is vital to not only USGBC but to our community as a whole.
Join us to learn about the LEED for Schools rating system and how from “elementary to college” some school systems are implementing sustainable aspects into there operations and construction activities and responding to State legislation to build sustainable, healthy learning facilities.
You are encouraged to join us at the Grand Bohemian Lounge for an informal social following the program.
