NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP VERSUS LOCAL CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP
Companies join the USGBC and hold USGBC National Memberships. Individuals join a local chapter. Click here for more info. Individuals whose employers are USGBC National Members are entitled to a discount when joining a local chapter. Click here to search for your company and your company's USGBC Primary Contact. Working for a company that is a National Member of USGBC does not automatically make you a member of a local chapter. See below to join our chapter.
ANNUAL DUES
Any individual may join the Central Florida Chapter of the USGBC. The following is a breakdown of the membership categories:
1. Chapter Member - $50 paid annually,
available only to individuals from USGBC-member companies; voting local membership.
2.
Associate Chapter Member - $65 paid annually, for individuals whose companies are
not USGBC members; non-voting, local membership.
3. Chapter
Student - $25 paid annually, must be enrolled in accredited degree program; non-voting local membership.
HOW TO JOIN

If your employer is a USGBC National Member, you will receive a discount on your Local Chapter Membership. Ask your company's USGBC Primary Contact for your company's Corporate Access ID. Click here to seach for your company and your company's Primary Contact. Once you have obtained your company's Corporate Access ID, create a user profile with the USGBC by clicking here. Click "Yes, my corporate access id is" to answer the question "Is your company a USGBC National Member?" Proceed with filling-out the rest of the form.
If your employer is not a USGBC National Member, you can still join our chapter but you will not receive a discount. However, you will still receive discounts at our programs and events plus you will be able to attend "open to members only" programs and events. This alone makes it worth it to join. Create your user profile by clicking here. Click on the "No" button where the form asks "Is your company a USGBC National Member?" Proceed with filling-out the rest of the form.
After you have created your profile and confirmed it by following the emailed instructions you received, you will need to login using your username and password you selected when creating your profile. Click here to login in. After you are logged in to your user profile, click here and select "Central Florida Chapter" from the Chapter drop-down box. Select your Chapter Membership Type. Click "Continue to Checkout" to select your payment method. Please note that USGBC handles all payments, even for local chapter membership. Therefore, you will either need a credit card to join or you will need to send your payment to the USGBC at the address given. Please do not mail any local chapter membership dues to a local chapter.
MEMBERSHIP
Welcome to the Central Florida Chapter of the USGBC. Once you have joined, you will receive a confirmation of your membership from the USGBC. Within about a month, you will receive another set of emails from the Central Florida Chapter Membership Committee. The first email welcomes you to the chapter. The second email asks for information to be printed on your membership card.
Many of our programs and events are free or discounted to members who are current with the dues listed above.. Non-members may still be able to attend but will most likely be required to pay a fee to attend. Some programs and events are open to members only. This is part of the value in becoming a member! Now, we ask that you consider becoming an active part of our Chapter by joining one of the various committees. This is an all-volunteer organization so we would welcome your assistance!
