Anne Jackson, IIDA, LEED® AP, SERC Rep and Past Chair

Anne Jackson received a BFA in Interior Design from Winthrop University in 1995 and has more than twelve years of experience designing corporate, research, and institutional facilities. She has worked for commercial architecture firms in Atlanta and Charlotte and her clients have included Bank of America, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, First Union National Bank (now Wachovia), General Motors, Georgia State University, Duke University, University of South Carolina, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, and her alma mater, Winthrop University.

Anne received professional interior design certification (NCIDQ) in 1999 and has been active in the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) since 1998. She developed an interest in sustainable development while traveling in Europe, South Asia, and the Middle East, and became LEED accredited in January 2003. She has participated in the design and documentation of four LEED-NC (New Construction) registered projects, completed LEED documentation for the first LEED-CI (Commercial Interiors) certified project in North Carolina, the Bank of America Corporate Center Renovation Pilot Project, and is currently working on six LEED-CI registered projects.

In March of 2005, Anne spearheaded the foundation of the Charlotte Region Chapter of the US Green Building Council and served as Chair through 2007. In 2007, the Chapter was awarded two leadership awards by the US Green Building Council for educational efforts and promotion of LEED and green building in the Charlotte Region. Anne is continuing her involvement in the Chapter through 2009 as a chapter representative to the USGBC South East Regional Council.
