Assists Chapter in recruiting new members. Supplies current-event information to members on a regular basis. The Committee serves as the liaison between USGBC National and our Chapter and serves our members to facilitate a seamless joining process and membership experience.

Marketing & Development:
We are a non profit 501(c)(3) organization dependent upon revenue from contributions, membership dues, fees for workshops and events and sponsorships. Revenue supports the Chapter's programming and staff, and will support the implementation of our forthcoming strategic plan for increasing the impact of the Chapter on the green building movement in North Carolina. Marketing and development will assist committees with developing promotional material and the Chapter with all advertising and promotional efforts as well as coordinate communications to members and to the community.

Advocacy:
Organizes around significant public issues facing green building at the state and local levels. The Chapter works closely with the USGBC national office, as well as other USGBC chapters throughout North Carolina on state-wide issues. The Chapter committee also works on local and municipal policy matters.

Education & Programs:
The education & program committee organizes monthly luncheon programs and workshops that focus on sharing information about green building topics. The monthly luncheons are our main interface with current and potential members, and main venue for sharing knowledge, raising questions, and promoting our other programs and projects. We host four workshops each year, one each quarter. We organize venues, catering, audio/visual, sponsors.
