Jim Williams, AIA, LEED® AP
Secretary

Jim leads a national team of talented design directors responsible for ensuring that every client receives exceptional design solutions that are catalysts for improved performance. With his leadership, our firm has embraced a design process characterized by intense collaboration with our clients and the power to maximize the potential of each project. Jim has been actively involved in a diverse array of projects, including the first two-story Harris Teeter grocery store, Johnson & Wales University Residence Hall in Charlotte, Centro Vallarta in Guatemala, Mexico and the Futtsu Shopping Center in Japan.

With Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Design degrees from the University of Kansas, Jim boasts more than 20 years of international architectural design, project management and due diligence experience, primarily with large scale, mixed-use, community, office and retail projects.

A former associate vice president for RTKL, Jim has served as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte College of Architecture and serves on their professional advisory board. His commitment to smart local planning and development is evidenced by his service as chairman of the Concord, North Carolina Historic Preservation Commission.
