Luis, a native of Lima-Perú, is a graduate of Ricardo Palma Private University. He practiced architecture for three years in Lima-Peru before moving to Charlotte with his wife Pilar, in 1983. Since that time, Luis has diversified and broadened his design expertise through work on transportation, healthcare, correctional, recreational, commercial, mixed-use, and multifamily projects. For the last 15 years he has led design teams on the design of civic and higher education projects. Luis' professional activities include serving in the Design Awards Committee for the Charlotte AIA, serving on the Board of Directors for ACE- a non profit organization that promotes careers on Architecture, Engineering and Construction to High School Students, serving on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Region Chapter of the USGBC, and mentor for the College of Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
