The USGBC - Nevada Chapter is now soliciting nominations for three positions on the Board of Directors. We are seeking candidates that bring membership diversity, leadership and other qualifications needed to assure strong and dynamic local leadership.
Nominations will be accepted for three (3) board seats.
Candidates must be members of the Nevada Chapter and their company must be a member of USGBC national.
Candidates will be selected for the slate to provide a desirable mix of expertise, potential contributions, leadership experience, diversity, and continuity for the overall Board.
Members will have an opportunity to meet the candidates at November's monthly chapter meeting. Information about each candidate will also be posted on the chapter website. Additional campaigning by candidates and supporters is permitted per the Election Guidelines below.
We hope you will consider this exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our Chapter and the green building industry in Nevada. And remember, although its main responsibility is providing overall policy direction, the Board also offers lasting business relationships and friendships.

Tuesday, November 10 , 2009 - Deadline for receiving candidate applications (midnight Pacific time).
Tuesday, November 17, 2009 - Candidate presentations at monthly chapter meeting. Election voting begins. Biographical materials available on chapter web site (www.usgbcnv.org).
Friday, December 4, 2009 - Elections closed at midnight (Pacific time).
Tuesday, December 8, 2009 - Election results announced at monthly chapter meeting.
Please Note: All candidate information will be posted to the chapter website. USGBC - Nevada Chapter elections utilize proportional voting, similar to USGBC national. Registered chapter members will be able cast one vote per open seat. All votes of individuals from any one member company or organization will be tallied as equal percentages totaling one vote per company. For example, if there are 10 local chapter members who work at the same company, each of their votes will count as 10% of the final vote counted from their company.
