High Performance, Healthy and Sustainable Home is Designed by the CSD
Uptown, Memphis - 2009
The
1700 SF sustainable residence was designed by students and faculty in the Department of Architecture in
association with the FedEx Institute Center of Sustainable Design at the University of Memphis. Using design
criteria from USGBC LEED for Homes,
the MLGW EcoBuild Program, and the American Lung Association Health
House, the
University is producing
a healthy, high performance house that embodies the principles of
sustainable
design.
