LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations Technical Review
The LEED for New Construction Rating System is designed to guide and distinguish high performance commerical and instituational projects, including office buildings, high-rise residential buildings, government buildings, recreational facilities, manufacturing plants and laboratories.
This workshop goes beyond the basics of the LEED for New Construction v2.2 Rating System, using case studies and exercies to provide an overview of the building certification process, as well as a brief exam review.

"How Would You Spend $14 Billion? Contest"
TVA plans to spend $14 billion to build Bellefonte, a two-unit nuclear plant in Northern Alabama. The USGBC Middle TN has teamed up with Bellefonte Efficiency and Sustainability Team (BEST), Blue Ridge Environmental Defense Solar Valley Coalition, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, Tennessee Environmental Council and the Tennessee Sierra Club to suggest a sustainable option for TVA.
