The USGBC North Carolina Triangle Chapter envisions a healthy future through the promotion and application of sustainable strategies to the built environment. We are comprised of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, government officials, developers, business owners, product manufacturers, individuals and students.
The North Carolina Triangle Chapter aims to be the regional point of contact to promote construction practices and buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.
Anyone interested in sustainable design is invited to join our organization!
Call for Nominations
The USGBC – NC Triangle Chapter Nominating Committee is now soliciting nominations for the Chapter Board of Directors.
The Nominating Committee has been charged to solicit candidates for the Board who bring the membership diversity, leadership qualities and other qualifications needed to assure strong and dynamic local leadership.
Please note the following special features for this year’s elections and further explained in attached materials.
Nominations are also encouraged to increase the minority participation on the board.
Registered Paid Up Chapter members will be able to log in and cast one vote per open seat.
We hope you will consider this exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the Chapter’s, the USGBC and that of the green building industry. And, remember, although its main responsibility is providing overall policy direction, the Board also offers lasting business relationships and friendships.
You may nominate yourself by completing the attached application form or nominate another member by asking them to do so. Please remember that only individuals who are employed by USGBC member organizations may serve on the Board. The application must be completed in its entirety and submitted to the Chapter by e-mail nctriangle@chapters.usgbc.org no later than Monday, October 20, 2008.
Please direct questions on these materials or procedures to the vice-chair, Douglas Brinkley, AIA, LEED AP @ (919) 836-9751.
