ELIGIBILITY:
Any individual may join the Chapter either as a Member, an Associate Member or as an Emerging Green Builder. Membership dues are in addition to the USGBC membership dues paid by the individual's company or organization.

Membership in the chapter is open to all employees of USGBC member companies, governments and professional societies. USGBC member governments in South Florida include Miami-Dade County and Broward County. USGBC member professional societies include ASID, ASLA, IIDA, ASPE, The Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers, Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, National Association of Educational Buyers, Inc., Society for College and University Planning, The Construction Specifications Institute, and The Masonry Society.

Associate Membership is available to individuals who are not employed by a USGBC-member company or organization. Individuals who are employed by a company or organization that is eligible for membership in the USGBC but which has not yet become a USGBC member are encouraged to participate in chapter activities by joining as an Associate Member. This membership category is meant to allow small, independent businesses to participate in chapter activities.

Emerging Green Builders Membership is available to individuals 25 years of age or younger. This membership category is meant to encourage high school and college students to become active members of the chapter.

ANNUAL DUES:
Any individual may join the chapter. The following is a breakdown of the membership categories:
1. Chapter Member - $50 Available only to individuals from USGBC-member companies. Chapter Members enjoy all member benefits. More than one employee of a USGBC member company or organization may become a chapter member.

2. Associate Chapter Member-$65 For individuals whose companies are not USGBC members; non-voting, local membership. Associate Members enjoy all member benefits except voting rights and eligibility for board elections.

3. Emerging Green Builders - $25 Must be enrolled in accredited degree program or have less than 5 years of professional experience.

HOW TO JOIN:
Anyone who joins the chapter needs to first make sure that they have established a site user profile and selected a user name and password. If you do not have a site user profile, click here and "log on" through the Products and Services Catalogue. Then you may proceed to joining the chapter through the Catalogue.   If you already have a site user profile, click here to join the South Florida Chapter.
