May 9 - 16 is Preservation Week!
| |
Among the greenest actions we can take is to preserve what we already have, be it a pair of shoes that gets repaired and worn for another few years or a building that gets lovingly rehabbed or renovated instead of demolished.
St. Louis is known for its great old buildings, so celebrate St. Louis, our history and our greener future by celebrating Preservation Week, presented by Landmarks Association.
Lots of great events mark Preservation Week this year, including lectures, walking tours, bike tours and 2009 Most Enhanced Awards, recognizing 14 projects that represent the best in restoration,
rehabilitation and adaptive re-use of some of St. Louis' most historic
structures.
Learn more on Landmarks Association's website.
